Which eye drops should I use to prevent CME after surgery?

Which is a better and safer eye drop to prevent CME after cataract surgery, Ketorolac or diclofenac? Are complications during and after cataract surgery man-made or plain misfortune?

Both Ketorolac and diclofenac eye drops are used to relieve intra- and post-operative pain of cataract surgery. Diclofenac may be better of the two. These are anti-inflammatory drugs and may help to treat Cystoid Macular Edema (CME), but do not always work. Many CME get better with time alone. In uncomplicated eye surgery, development of CME is a misfortune, but one can have many complications during surgery, which can also cause CME.
