    Dr Urvashi P Jha has over 30 years experience in treating women with gynaecological problems, using clinical best practices and protocols. She has extensive surgical expertise in advanced gynaecological procedures. Her specialisation lies in the use of Laparascopy (key-hole surgery), Hysteroscopy, and natural access route (vaginal) surgery. In addition she has been recognised by her peers for exceptional endoscopic work treating complex infertility, cancer, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and tumours and genital birth defects.


    She has also pioneered and supported the development of menopausal medicine. A strong voice for women health issues in India. She has engaged with stakeholders within her specialisation, medical fraternity and with the general public to raise the quality of care. This has been achieved by consistent work across a variety of platforms including the Indian Menopause Society, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Indian Association of Gynae Endoscopists and through her role as Director – Minimal Access Gynae & Gynae Cancer Surgery (MNAGCS) at Fortis Flt Lt Rajan Dhall Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi & Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), City Center, Gurgaon; and as Director, Dr Jha’s Gynaecare & Women’s Health Clinic at E-24, Defence Colony, Ring Road, New Delhi.


    Her ongoing efforts towards setting standards, clinical protocols and strategies in gynaecology, medico-legal issues, patient education and counseling are all contributing towards improving patient care, which remains her first and foremost concern. Dr Jha is the recipient of the prestigious 'President of India' gold medal, mentioned for a record in the Limca book of Records; apart from other several medals and distinctions interspersed in her illustrious career.
