• Brief Profile


    Dr Mahesh Verma has done BDS, MDS from Govt. Dental College, Trivandrum, Kerala. He has specialised in Prosthodontics. Presently he is working as Director-Principal, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, New Delhi, the only Dental institution imparting BDS and MDS training in Delhi. He took over as Head of Dental Wing in 1995 at a young age of 38, probably the youngest to do so. In addition to heading the autonomous institution, Dr Verma is also working as Professor and Head of the Deptt. of Prosthodontics, a specialty dealing with Dental Rehablitation such as Complete Dentures, Partial Dentures, Crown and Bridge, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, Implantology and Cosmetic Dentistry. 


    Dr Verma has been a WHO Fellow and has undergone two months training in Advanced Prosthodontics at the State University of New York at Buffalo (USA) in April 2000. Dr Mahesh Verma has also done MBA (Healthcare) from prestigious FMS University of Delhi, having topped 2004 batch with Gold Medal. 


    Dr Verma is a Fellow of the American College Of Dentists (FACD), Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD), Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (FPFA), Member, National Academy of Medical Sciences (MAMS). 


    Currently he is the Executive Member, Dental Council of India, Hon. Secretary, Indian Dental Association, Delhi State Branch. Earlier he has been Past Secretary, Past President, Indian Prosthodontics Society. He has also been Organising Secretary, World Congress on Prosthodontics held in Delhi in 1995 and also was Organising Secretary of the recently concluded mega Commonwealth Dental Association and Indian Dental Association conference held in Delhi in January 2000. He has received awards for distinguished services rendered at Lok Nayak Hospital.He is recipient of Rotary Vashishat Seva Samman, IMA award, 'State Award' for Best Doctor by Govt of Delhi 2002. 


    Most recently Dr Mahesh Verma has been selected for the prestigious 'Dr B C Roy National Award' the highest in medical field, which shall be awarded by the Hon'ble President of India on July 1, 2008.
